The Glider Pilot Regiment.In 1939 Britain entered the 2nd World War without any airborne forces. However the German development and use of airborne forces in such operations as the Assault on Fort Eben Emael convinced Winston Churchill of the need for these forces, the British Airborne Forces were borne. This 6 part documentary gives the background to and traces the deveopment of the Glider Pilot Regiment which was a vital part of these forces.
